Our home base is South Shore Resort & Retreats in Twin Lake, Michigan, nestled between Grand Rapids and Muskegon. It’s a private lakeside setting designed for rest, connection, and ease.

We also host select Wild Heart Retreats in hand-picked locations beyond Michigan – each one chosen for its natural beauty, sense of spaciousness, and ability to help you fully step out of everyday life. We’ve been to Mexico, Portugal and we’re heading to Kenya in 2027!

We host a variety of retreats including yoga and wellness retreats, corporate team-building getaways, creative workshops, and seasonal experiences like fall foliage weekends and winter spa escapes. Most are open to the public, while others are private and led by guest facilitators.

Yes! We love partnering with retreat leaders. Our facilities in Twin Lake, MI are available for rental, and we offer customizable packages that include accommodations, access to the outdoor spa (hot tub + sauna), the activity spaces, and more. Let’s co-create something beautiful.

Most of our hosted retreats include fresh, seasonal meals prepared onsite at our restaurant. We accommodate a range of dietary preferences and restrictions — just let us know in advance. For privately hosted retreats, catering options can be added to your package.

We’re nestled in Twin Lake, Michigan — a serene lakeside town that feels like a world away but is just 15 minutes from Muskegon, 45 minutes from Grand Rapids and a 3 hour drive from Chicago and Detroit. Both have airports, and we can arrange transportation for your guests from GRR.

We’ll provide a detailed packing list with your registration, but typically we recommend comfortable clothes, a swimsuit for the outdoor spa, a water bottle, layers for chilly evenings, and an open heart.  You can leave your worries at home.

Expect time to rest, reflect, and reconnect — both with yourself and with others. There’s usually a mix of guided experiences (like yoga or workshops), shared meals, and downtime to enjoy nature, read a book, or nap under the pines. No experience is necessary—just come as you are.

We strive to make our space and programming as inclusive and accessible as possible. Please reach out to us with any specific needs or questions—we’re happy to work with you to ensure your experience is safe, supportive, and welcoming.

For hosted retreats, a non-refundable deposit holds your spot, and final payment is usually due 30 days before the retreat begins. If you need to cancel, we’ll do our best to fill your spot. For rental retreats, terms are outlined in your rental agreement.

You can browse and register for upcoming retreats on our Retreats page. Join our newsletter or follow us on Instagram to be the first to hear about new offerings!

Most retreats are adult-only to create a peaceful environment, but we do offer occasional family-friendly weekends. Pets are not allowed to ensure an allergy free environment for all.

Yes! Many of our retreats include options like massage, reiki or other healing practices. If you’re hosting your own retreat, we can help coordinate local wellness providers as add-ons for your guests.

Your Wild Heart is the best part of YOU! A Wild Heart is the part of you that knows how to stay open in a world that often asks you to harden. It’s your aliveness, intuition, and capacity for joy, It’s your truth after you’ve been able to rest deeply – when life feels full, fast, or heavy. Brené Brown inspired us when she described a strong back, soft front, and wild heart as the strength to stand in your truth and set boundaries, paired with the openness to love, feel, and stay connected. It’s the courage to be both grounded, open and authentic at the same time—and a return to what has always been there, waiting to be remembered and unleashed.

“What are you going to do with your one wild, precious life?” – Mary Oliver
